Feel at home in Gmunden

We're Andreas and Daniela, and we started this community.

Andreas grew up in Gmunden, then spent nearly 20 years abroad. He lived in Gothenburg/Sweden, Barcelona/Spain, worked across Africa, and travelled whenever he could. Daniela is from Argentina, at 16 she lived in Denmark; later in Italy, then many years in Barcelona. In 2025 we came to Gmunden together with our son.

Here, we kept running into people with a story like ours. Some had moved to the Salzkammergut from somewhere else; others were locals who'd lived abroad and come back changed by it. We'd meet them at the playground, in "Krabbelstubbe", on a hike, by chance. But there was nowhere we naturally met each other.

So we built that place. That's what this community is.
